Most of my Favourite Images from 2012

Some of my favourites from this year are shown below.  Thank you to all my wonderful clients.

Marija & Peter | Wedding

Marija & Peter’s ceremony was at St. Michael’s Cathedral; one of Toronto’s major iconic buildings . Originally built away from the downtown core it eventually became part of it. Completed in 1845, with a capacity of 1600; it’s purpose was to accommodate the city’s 3000 Catholics.

There reception followed at Casa Loma in Midtown Toronto.

Hailing from London, England; they planned their wedding from across the Atlantic and treated their out of town guests to two very popular Canadian landmarks.

Valentine’s Day 2012: boudoir photographs I had permission to publish….

As the commercialism of Valentine’s Day settles down; I thought it would be appropriate to display photographs I captured that are probably, in my opinion, the best gift to give.  :)

The experience is for you the results are for him.  Below are photographs that I had permission to display:

The Wedding Show Follow Up | Part 1 of 2

It has been 3 days since I packed my display and portfolio at this years Wedding Co Show at The Carlu.  I truly believe that this is the best bridal show that Toronto has to offer; the location is about as opulent as can be.  The once Eaton’s College Street Store was once at the forefront of commercial retail design in Canada.  Lady Eaton was responsible for the 7th floor and hired an architect named Jacques Carlu, hence the name of the 7th floor.

I had the opportunity to reacquaint myself with some industry friends and make some new ones.  I’d like to introduce one for now.  Jessica Neto of LUXE Destination Weddings was situated beside us; she can take care of your destination wedding or your honeymoon, she’s wonderful and I know she will take care of you.

Stefanie & Arthur | Wedding

If there was any day this year that had the right temperature and lighting it was October 22; the wedding day of Stefanie & Arthur.  There was no wind, rain or even humidity.  For a photographer it was a great environment.

Their family and friends were very courteous and accommodating; and the groomsmen were actually funny!

I thoroughly enjoyed photographing your wedding.  It was a perfect day!

Thank you Stefanie & Arthur.

Elisa & Anthony | Engaged

Fall is my favourite time to photograph outdoor moments.  Although the sun is very contrasty, it lends a certain colour temperature that amplifies a warmth and gives a sense of mood.

I remember when I met Elisa & Antonio in June; it was the FASTEST confirmation I had ever received.  I think they confirmed me as their photographer in the first 5 minutes.  Anthony owns his own hair salon and met Elisa through one of his employees that cut her hair; as it transpired: a brief meeting turned into a conversation which turned into a date which turned into more dates and then a commitment and finally an engagement.

These are my favourites:

Katie & Scott | a REAL engagement

On October 9, 2010 I received a call from a friend asking if I could photograph her brother’s proposal to his girlfriend before a hot air balloon ride; the event would be real………nothing contrived.  Scott had prepared his proposal to Katie to be very thoughtful and unique.  I had two hours to get to the location and pretend that I was taking photographs for the hot air balloon company……Katie did say that I looked familiar, but she wasn’t sure.  It was an absolute pleasure documenting this!!!!

Following this event, I was delighted to be chosen to capture their big day.  Below are some additional photographs that were captured for their more formal engagement session.
